Tara and Jonathan were married on a gorgeous day in Wooster, Ohio. We started our day at Tara’s Mother’s house, where the ladies were getting their hair and makeup done, and getting dressed for the big day. Once everyone was ready, we quickly moved on to the beautiful grounds of the Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center Wooster Campus. I have to admit, with a name like that, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I was very pleasantly surprised. The OARDC was the perfect location for Tara and Jonathan’s first look, and some formal family photos. When we were done there, we moved on to Historic Downtown Wooster for some quick portraits, and then we were off to the church to freshen up for the ceremony.
Tara and Jonathan’s ceremony was the most exciting wedding ceremony I have ever photographed thanks to an uninvited guest that decided to make its presence known just before Tara was to walk down the aisle. If you look closely at the top left corner of the wide ceremony photo showing the entire bridal party, you’ll notice a bat in mid-flight. The bat decided to fly around the church for most of the ceremony, only stopping to rest a few times. It even got close enough to Tara at one point that she felt it brush against her veil. Amazingly, everyone kept their cool and the ceremony went off without a hitch despite the disruption from our little friend.
After the ceremony everyone reconvened at the Excelsior Room in Downtown Wooster, where TJ’s Catering provided us with a wonderful meal, The Faithful Little Cupcake provided dessert, and Sound Precision Entertainment kept the party going well into the night. There was plenty of dancing, some Limbo fun, and lots of laughs during this great night.
