It seems like weather is the prevailing theme for the 2015 wedding season, and Shelbi & Joe’s wedding was no different. Leading up to their wedding day, it seemed like the rain would never stop. Since the wedding was to be an outdoor ceremony, I will admit I was getting a bit nervous, and I’m sure Shelbi and Joe were, as well. As luck would have it, the rain stopped and we had a gorgeous, bright, sunny day for their wedding.
The ceremony at Bain Cabin in Fairview Park went off without a hitch. After the ceremony and a few family photos we headed downtown for some fun bridal party photos at Voinovich Park and the E. 9th Street Pier. Shelbi & Joe and their bridal party were so awesome to work with. They put up with pose after pose and photo after photo despite the blazing sun (and consequently, the sunburn). Thankfully there was a pretty good breeze coming off of the lake to keep everyone cool and comfortable.
Once we wrapped things up by the lake, we headed a bit south to the Cleveland Public Library for a change of venue and a slightly different look for the photos. The library is a gorgeous location, and there were so many little nooks. I could have spent all day there, but Shelbi & Joe had a party to get to.
When I arrived at the Springvale Ballroom, I was awestruck by all of the little details that Shelbi & Joe had put into their reception. Everywhere I looked I found more handmade details to photograph, and the room simply looked amazing. After dinner, Marino Brothers DJs were there to provide the soundtrack and keep the party going.
